Activities
Members are able to undertake a wide range of activities in the workshop each week.
Woodworking: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9.30am to 3pm.
- Making wooden garden and home products, using a range of woodworking machines and tools
- Turning using wood lathes to make round products such as fruit bowls, wooden vases and pens
- Model and wooden toy making using band and scroll saw techniques
- Wood carving, using whittling, chipping and relief techniques
Leather Work and Computer Controlled Wood Machines: Mondays, 9.30am to 12.30pm
- All kinds, including making purses, wallets, bags and repairs
- Using laser cutting and milling machines to make images and signs on wood
Willow Weaving, Pyrography and Lino Printing: Fridays, 9.30am to 12.30pm
- Basket and sculpting willow for home and garden products
- Pyrography art, creating images in wood using wood burning techniques
- Lino cutting and printing to make artworks and cards
