Sew Social is a social sewing group located at The Kiln. There is no dedicated teacher, but everybody has something to offer and we all learn from each other, no matter what our level of skill is, everybody is welcome.
We do all types of fabric work with any type of sewing! Hand Sewing, Machine Sewing, Dressmaking, Cross-stitch, Embroidery, Quilting, Craft Sewing and more.
You can bring along a project you are working on, or one that you would like to start. Or come and find inspiration whilst being in the company of like minded people. You can also participate in community projects or start one yourself. Tuesdays at The Kiln bring much laughter.
We have a couple of sewing machines for people to use, which have been donated to us, but most people prefer to bring their own equipment.
With a growing collection of bits and bobs from donations from members and the community, from buttons & cottons, to rolls of fabric, which we are very grateful for.
We have a spacious well-lit room, a fantastic large cutting table, an overlocker, two ironing stations, and new this year, a projector for PDF Sewing Pattern Projection! Amazing Technology you just got to try!
